Berachain Governance Update: RFRV Batch 11 Approved

The Governance Guardians have approved a new set of Reward Vault Requests (RFRVs). This week’s batch introduces a novel fee-centric trading rewards model and expands Berachain’s lending layer with deeper integrations into the Infrared ecosystem. Both vaults continue the trend of extending Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) incentives beyond passive TVL and toward high-value activity like volume, borrowing, and composability.

Alongside the vault approvals, two protocol-level governance improvements were also enacted:

On April 7, 2025, it was posted that to be eligible for reward vault, the staking token should have at least 100 holders. The Governance Guardians have decided to remove this requirement going forward. This update lowers the barrier to entry for new protocols.

Separate from any vote by the Governance Guardians, the reward vault allocation queue for validators has been shortened to 450 blocks (≈15 minutes), down from the previous 2000-block minimum. This update allows validators to respond more quickly to changes, creating more efficient market feedback loops for BGT boosters and participating protocols.

NON-DEX VAULTS (Proposer — Utility)

  • Honeypot — All-in-One Vault
  • Euler — MEV Capital Red Cluster wBERA Lending

All requests for amendments to existing reward vaults were approved, with the Labs team coordinating with teams to swap out incentives or make necessary changes.
