Berachain Governance Update: RFRV Batch 12 Approved

The Governance Guardians have approved a new set of Reward Vault Requests (RFRVs). This week’s batch brings expanded support for stablecoin infrastructure, NFT lending, liquid staking integrations, memecoin speculation, and Berachain’s first RWA-native incentive model.

The Kettle vault introduces volume-based rewards for trading tokenized luxury watches, marking the first time real-world asset activity is directly tied into BGT emissions. Eden’s Gachapon vault uses physical capsule machines and gamified ticket sales to route bribes onchain, blurring the line between DeFi and entertainment. Paddle Finance enables NFT-backed borrowing and incentivizes it through a utility vault linked to the Steady Teddys. Meanwhile, BurrBear’s upgraded multi-stable pool consolidates liquidity for NECT, USDC, USDT0, and HONEY, creating a stable base for future integrations with lending markets and tokenized real-world assets.

Also approved this week: a meme-native WBERA | ZERO vault, a Smilee-backed vault for LST pair liquidity, and a Beraborrow vault linking wgBERA collateralization to PoL rewards through NECT minting.

Together, these vaults show how Berachain’s incentive model continues to evolve. Instead of focusing only on TVL, this batch highlights how emissions can reward meaningful, high-intent activity across the ecosystem.

NON-BEX VAULTS (Proposer — Utility)

  • Kettle — Kettle Volume Reward Vault
  • Eden — Gachapon Reward Vault
  • Paddle Finance — WBERA | Steady Teddys
  • BurrBear — NECT | USDC | USDT0 | HONEY Multi-Stable Pool
  • GOING to ZERO — WBERA | ZERO

All requests for amendments to existing reward vaults were approved, with the Labs team coordinating with teams to swap out incentives or make necessary changes.
