Berachain Governance Update: RFRV Batch 16 Approved

Berachain Governance Update: RFRV Batch 16 Approved

This week’s approved vaults highlight new ways protocols are using Proof-of-Liquidity to connect on-chain activity with validator rewards. Batch 16 includes five newly approved Reward Vaults, spanning stablecoins, liquid governance wrappers, and action-based lending mechanics.

The Yeetarded Buyback Vault introduces a fully self-contained incentive loop, converting auction revenue into wgBERA incentives that are matched 1:1 by Smilee, then used to buy and burn YEET. Sumer’s bSUMER vault rewards lending activity by tracking real protocol usage across deposits, borrows, and looping strategies so emissions go only to users doing something.

We also saw deeper adoption of wrapped governance assets like mBGT, paired this round with iBERA in a new pool from Miso. On the DEX side, Wasabee and BurrBear continue to scale liquidity for key governance and stablecoin tokens through incentive-matched ALM strategies and multi-token reward plans.

These vaults reflect a continued shift toward designs that recycle protocol revenue, incentivize meaningful usage, and make PoL-based yield more accessible across the stack.

NON-BEX POOLS (DEX — Vault Proposer — Pair)
• Kodiak — Miso — mBGT/iBERA (0.3%)
• Wasabee — Wasabee — BEE/WBERA
• BurrBear — BurrBear — BURR/NECT

NON-DEX VAULTS (Proposer — Utility)
• Yeet — Yeetarded Buyback Vault
• Sumer Money — bSUMER Vault

All requests for amendments to existing reward vaults were approved, with the Labs team coordinating with teams to swap out incentives or make necessary changes.
