Berachain Governance Update: RFRV Batch 9 Approved

This week’s reward vault approvals add new ways to earn, from composable BTC yield to lending loop integrations and derivative-backed flywheels. The latest batch deepens key asset liquidity while bridging activity across native DeFi and external protocols.

A new BTC stable pool from Solv Protocol on BurrBear brings a 3 pool with solvBTC and WBTC, drawing omnichain capital into Berachain with $20K per week in emissions. OpenState’s latest vault pairs a lending receipt token with osBGT, creating a high-efficiency flywheel between BGT staking and Euler’s folding markets. Meanwhile, Wasabi’s Spicy HONEY Vault routes perp funding yields into onchain rewards, leveraging HONEY to align real trading activity with validator incentives.

Alongside the new vaults, a protocol-level upgrade introduces configurable reward durations for BGT distribution. Vault managers can now set reward periods between 3 and 7 days, with a 1-day cooldown between changes. All newly created vaults will default to a 7-day duration. This change gives teams greater flexibility in aligning emissions pacing with vault strategy and user experience. The upgrade has been independently audited. Read the full report here
